Florence, Italy
In 2022, I spent three weeks studying abroad in Florence, Italy. The city's charm was undeniable, with its rich blend of history and culture woven into every street corner and piazza. Walking through Florence felt like stepping through a museum- each building and monument told a story. From the stunning architecture to the vibrant local life, Florence captivated me in a way no other city has. It was a place that truly inspired me and deepened my love for travel, and the memories I made there will always hold a special place in my heart.
OSTERIA ANTICA MESCITA SAN NICCOLO, ALIMENTARI MESCITA DI VINI - the best pappardelle you will eat in your life, I geniuenly cannot recommend this place enough!
PANINI TOSCANI - delicious sandwiches to be enjoyed right next to the Duomo.
EBY’S EMPANADAS - I highly recommend the spinach and cheese empanada!
EDOARDOS GELATO - I may or may not have dreampt of both their coffee and stracciatella gelato for weeks after…
FOOD / DINING
You must visit the Duomo, but not just the outside- venture into the historic building for the most beautiful view.
Uffizi Museum! I did get COVID-19 from this experience, so be safe and use plenty of hand sanitizer, but this museum was an absolute must-see.
Museo de Gucci (pictured on the left) was a beautiful blend of textiles and luxury fashion.
Fiesole! Take a day trip up into the streets of Fiesole and see for yourself the picturesque views of the Tuscan countryside.
